Suzuki has launched the 2017 GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R, priced at Rs. 19 lakhs and Rs. 22 lakhs respectively.
Suzuki Motorcycles India today launched their superbikes, the 2017 GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R. Prices for both the motorcycles are Rs. 19 lakhs and Rs. 22 lakhs respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powering them is a 999.8cc, four-cylinder motor that produces an impressive 202 PS of power at 13,200 RPM and 117.60 Nm of torque at 10,800 RPM, matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R get an all new engine that’s lighter and smaller. Both the litre-class machines feature Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing Technology from Suzuki’s MotoGP race bikes. The GSX-R1000 now comes with an aggressive new look with improved aerodynamics. The GSX-R1000R, on the other hand, gets more equipment than the GSX-R1000 and that justifies the additional Rs. 3 lakhs in the price.
The 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000R comes with a host of features like launch control, bi-directional quick shifter, Showa balance free suspension, ABS, ride-select modes, etc. Suzuki claims that these are the most advanced Suzuki GSX-Rs in history. With over a million Suzuki GSX-Rs sold worldwide in three decades, Suzuki now proudly launches the next-generation Suzuki GSX-Rs. The superbike segment seems to be heating up with BMW Motorrad announcing its official India entry less than a month back.
