The 2017 Skoda Octavia RS has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 24.62 lakhs.
Skoda has launched the faster version of the Octavia sedan, the Octavia RS in India and has priced it at Rs. 24.62 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The 2017 Octavia RS comes with mechanical changes and also subtle changes to the interior as well as exterior.
The Skoda Octavia RS gets a sportier looking front bumper with larger air-intakes. The grille is finished in black and also houses the RS badge. At the side, you get new 17-inch blackened 10-spoke alloy wheels with red brake callipers and at the rear you get a tailgate spoiler, RS badging and stainless steel exhaust tips that differentiate it from the regular Octavia.
In the cabin, the Skoda Octavia RS gets an all-black dashboard layout instead of the dual-tone black and beige available on the regular Octavia. The gear-knob, seats and the steering wheel (flat bottom) get a contrast red stitching and also RS stitching on the seats highlight the race-worthiness of the car. Faux carbon fibre treatment on the doors replace the regular aluminium trims. An updated 9.2-inch Columbus touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink takes care of infotainment duties.
Powering the 2017 Skoda Octavia RS is a 2.0-litre TSI motor that punches out 230 HP of power between 5500-6200 RPM and 350 Nm of torque between 1500-4500 RPM. This engine comes paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Octavia RS with the TSI motor does the 0-100 km/hr run in just 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr.
The Octavia RS also gets an updated suspension setup and a wider track at the rear.
