The 2017 Renault Koleos has been unveiled at the ongoing 2016 Beijing Motor Show. The vehicle is going to be sold in 80 markets.
At the ongoing Beijing Motor Show in China, French automaker Renault has unveiled the all-new Koleos. The 2017 Renault Koleos is based on the CMF C/D platform which also underpins a lot of other cars from the Renault-Nissan stable such as the Kadjar, Qashqai and X-Trail. The Renault Koleos is going to be marketed and sold in as many as 80 markets.
The styling of the Renault Koleos has been worked upon drastically. The vehicle now looks very sharp and striking and all the modern elements in the vehicle’s design make it look very appealing. The interiors have also been heavily worked upon and the Koleos comes loaded with features. It also has 289 mm of rear kneeroom for passengers and the driving position is also 150 mm higher than that of a conventional sedan.
The second generation Renault Koleos gets two petrol and diesel engines with power outputs ranging from 128-175 HP. The engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as a CVT gearbox. The Koleos also gets an AWD system that makes it easy to toggle through the 2WD, 4WD Auto and 4WD Lock modes. The SUV also has an impressive ground clearance of 213 mm.
The Renault Koleos is also fitted with safety features like Active Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, Safe Distance Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Warning and Tiredness Detection. The new Koleos will be produced in Wuhan, China for the Chinese market and Busan, South Korea for all the other markets. It is likely to be launched in India next year, coming via the CKD route.
