The 2017 Pulsar 200 NS will be launched next week as the company has started teasing it on Facebook.
Bajaj Auto unveiled the second generation Pulsar with the 200 NS in 2012 but discontinued the motorcycle in 2015 when it introduced the Pulsar AS 200. Now the company seems to have put the production of the AS 200 on hold as it was upgrading all its bikes to BS-IV emission norms.
The Indian automaker recently confirmed that all its bikes are now compliant with the upcoming emission norms. The Pulsar 200 NS was recently showcased at a dealer event in Turkey where it was seen with new colours but ABS was absent. Bajaj could offer single-channel ABS as an option on the 2017 Pulsar 200 NS.
While the upcoming model is likely to remain the same as the one which was discontinued, slight changes are expected to be incorporated like new colours and fuel-injection. The 2017 Pulsar 200 NS produces 24.5 PS of power and 18.6 Nm of torque, matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
Bajaj Auto will conduct media rides of the new Pulsar 200 NS in the coming week and we will be bringing out our first impressions on the first of the second generation Pulsars next week. The company should contemplate offering the limited edition colour schemes which it recently launched in Cambodia.
