The 2017 Porsche Panamera has been launched in India, available in Turbo and Turbo Executive Trims.
Porsche has launched the second generation Panamera in India at a price of Rs. 1.93 crores for the Turbo trim and Rs. 2.06 crores (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) for the Turbo Executive trim. The Turbo Executive variants get a 150 mm longer wheelbase than the other variant of the sedan.
The styling has been given a nice makeover and even though the overall stance of the car remains similar, there are a lot of new elements and visually it looks much better than the previous generation.
Powering the 2017 Porsche Panamera is a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces 550 HP and 770 Nm. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 3.8 seconds while the Turbo Executive trim makes it slower by 0.1 second. Top speed is claimed to be 306 km/hr. The engine is mated to an 8-speed PDK gearbox and power is sent to all 4 wheels. It comes with driving modes like Normal, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
The 2017 Panamera comes with features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Porsche Communication Management system and some optional features like panoramic tilt roof, massage seats, Burmester audio system and ambient lighting.
The Panamera also gets tech like Adaptive Air Suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control System with Torque Vectoring Plus, 4D Chassis Control System and rear axle steering.
As of now, only the Turbo variants are available in India but we can expect Porsche to launch other engined variants in the near future too.
