2017 Nissan Micra unveiled at the ongoing 2016 Paris Motor Show. The new gen hatchback looks bigger with the new styling, might not come to India.
Nissan has revealed the new fifth generation Micra at the ongoing 2016 Paris Motor Show. The hatchback now looks stunning with the new design direction and the sporty styling details. At first glance, it looks more premium, bigger in size and a notch above the segment it belongs to.
The front profile of the 2017 Nissan Micra looks aggressive with the V-shaped grille and heavily sculpted bonnet. On the side, you will notice a strong crease waving across the length of the car. The black C-Pillar gives a floating roof styling to the hatch and the alloys look fantastic. The rear has a racy design thanks to the fancy LED tail lights.
The interiors of the new generation Nissan Micra are a big step up from the previous car. The layered dashboard looks very premium with a colourful tone of orange sandwiched in between. The 3-spoke steering wheel looks familiar to the Nissan 370Z. It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre console with 6-speaker Bose system.
Some of the fancy features include Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Braking with pedestrian recognition, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Assist and Blind Spot Warning. It also offers Active Ride Control and Active Trace Control for better ride and handling.
The engine options for the 2017 Nissan Micra include 0.9-litre turbo 3-cylinder petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The new Micra will be available for sale in the European markets by March 2017 while India launch is not expected to happen anytime soon.
