The fifth generation Mercedes E-Class will boast of extremely luxurious interiors which will have elements from the S-Class too.
The next generation Mercedes E-Class is all set to be introduced to the public next year. The automaker has revealed the interiors of the luxurious sedan while we haven’t seen the exteriors yet. The first look at the dashboard reveals that it is very much inspired from the S-Class. The overall layout of the insides completely reminds us of the bigger luxo barge which is a damn good thing.
The 2017 Mercedes E-Class too gets a wide screen in the instrument cluster and it is divided into two displays – each getting a 1920 x 720 pixels layout and a 12.3-inch screen. The screens get different themes like Classic, Sport and Progressive. However, the base variants of the sedan will get a different layout with two analogue dials separated by a 7-inch screen. The vehicle will also get differently designed centre consoles for manual and automatic variants.
The multifunction steering wheel comes with touch control buttons and it also has a swipe function to play around with the infotainment system. The cabin comes with energy saving LEDs across the cabin with 64 colours for personalisation. The vehicle also gets an optional MULTIBEAM LED headlight system and LED tail lights which remind you of the Milky Way as claimed by Mercedes.
The E-Class will also boast of a Burmester 3D surround sound system. The sedan will get three variants – Base, Avant Garde and Exclusive and every variant will get a different design for the seats. The materials offered will be of extremely high quality and some open-poor wood trims will also be offered. The 2017 Mercedes E-Class will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2016 and that is when we will get a chance to feast on the exteriors too.
