The official fuel efficiency figures of the petrol and diesel 2017 Maruti DZire have been leaked ahead of its launch.
The third-generation Maruti DZire will be officially launched on 16th May 2017. We have got a glimpse of how exactly the car looks on both inside as well as outside, we are also aware that the car will be available in the same engine options as before. Now, 11 days before the launch, the mileage and the new tagline that Maruti will be marketing the car with, have been leaked.
The compact sedan will deliver a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 22 km/l for the petrol MT as well as the AMT models. While the diesel on the other hand will return a mileage of 28.40 km/l for both MT as well as AMT. The diesel DZire will now possibly be the most fuel efficient car in India.
The DZire will be offered with the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine that comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, producing 82 HP of power and 113 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is the 1.3-litre DDiS unit that produces 74 HP of power and 190 Nm of torque. The new DZire will be a more safer car, as dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts are standard across all variants.
The car will be available in 6 colour options – Oxford Blue, Arctic White, Silky Silver, Sherwood Brown, Magma Grey and Gallant Red and also will be marketed under a new tagline, ‘The Authentic Sedan’.
