2017 KTM Duke 390 Unveiled Officially, Looks Aggressive!

KTM has finally taken the wraps off the much awaited 2017 Duke 390 that looks much more aggressive and sporty than before at the 2016 EICMA.

The highly awaited 2017 KTM Duke 390 finally shows its face at the 2016 EICMA show in Milan. The orange beast can take your breath away at the first look! The Austrian manufacturer has given it an aggressive and sporty design language along with a host of new mechanical changes and features on offer.

The new Duke 390 comes with a sleek looking split LED headlamp unit, which will be a unique feature in its segment in India. The fuel tank has been revised in terms of aesthetic and capacity both. It is a 13.4-litre steel tank that adds to the new styling. The seats are also in tune to the new appearance along with the tail section.

KTM is offering a huge TFT display with the Duke 390, this is a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone integration with optional MY RIDE multimedia interface. The bike now comes with a new frame and sub-frame. The engine has also been upgraded to meet the Euro 4 emission norms.

Powering the new KTM Duke 390 is the same 373.2cc single-cylinder engine that produces the same 44 PS of power but a 2 Nm increase of torque to 37 Nm. It now comes with ride-by-wire tech and continues to offer slipper clutch. Dual channel ABS is being offered as standard equipment. The under-belly exhaust now gets replaced by a full-sized side mounted exhaust.

The new Duke 390 will be getting riding modes as well. The WP fork is also new, and the front disc brake has grown bigger to 320 mm with Brembo developed ByBre branded callipers. The brake and clutch levers are now span-adjustable. The bike maker has also addressed the heating issues. The price is expected to go marginally higher when launched in India.
