The 2017 Jaguar XE diesel has been launched in India, with prices starting at Rs. 38.25 Lakhs
The 2017 Jaguar XE diesel variant finally makes it to the Indian shores after a long wait. Jaguar Land Rover India initially brought in the petrol powered XE only but now the diesel variant is also being offered. Prices for the 2017 Jaguar XE diesel start at Rs. 38.25 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Just like its petrol sibling, the XE diesel comes in three variants for India, Pure, Prestige and the top of the line Portfolio. Jaguar has topped the XE with a host of features too, it gets the Jaguar Drive Control, Torque Vectoring System, Meridian Sound System, All Surfaces Progress Control, Sliding Panoramic Sunroof and an 8-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System with InControl touch.
Powering the XE diesel is a 2.0-litre diesel unit producing 177 HP and 430 Nm of torque and comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The XE sits on a wheelbase of 2835 mm and has a boot space of 455-litres. The Jaguar XE competes against the German-trio, BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
