The 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift has been launched in India, priced from Rs. 5.38 lakhs.
Hyundai has launched the facelifted version of the Xcent and the compact sedan now gets some Elantra-inspired looks. The front fascia of the car has been revised thoroughly while the rear also gets a new look. The side profile continues to remain similar to the previous model. On the outside, the Xcent gets LED DRLs, shark fin antenna, chrome door handles, Wheel Air Curtains, chrome garnish at the rear and ORVMs with turn indicators.
On the inside, you get a new infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen which gets Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink, navigation and voice recognition. Other features include gear shift indicator, rear power outlet, standard dual front airbags, ABS, automatic climate control, rear defogger, reverse parking sensors and camera, cooled glovebox, smart key with push button start, rear seat armrest and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre Kappa VTVT unit producing 83 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 114 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency is 20.14 km/l (MT) and 17.36 km/l (AT). The diesel engine is the new 1.2-litre CRDI unit (seen first on the Grand i10) and it produces 75 PS at 4000 RPM and 190 Nm of torque at 1750-2250 RPM. The oil-burner comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the claimed fuel efficiency is 25.4 km/l.
The 2017 Hyundai Xcent facelift comes with a 2 years/unlimited kms warranty. It competes with the Maruti Swift DZire, Ford Figo Aspire, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor and Volkswagen Ameo.
