A video teaser of the 2017 Hyundai Verna has been revealed by the carmaker ahead of its launch on 22nd August 2017.
Hyundai has unveiled a video teaser of its next generation Verna ahead of the C-segment car’s launch next month. Hyundai had previously teased an image of the new Verna which gave us a glimpse of its front fascia and also revealed an interior sketch.
The video unveiled reveals the exterior elements of the sedan like the LED tail-lights that are reminiscent of the Elite i20 and the Elantra, the LED DRLs and the projector headlamps. All in all, Hyundai has given us a hint of how the exterior ‘Fluidic 2.0’ design looks on the new Verna.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna will be 15 mm longer and 29 mm wider than the outgoing car and as a result, the wheelbase has been increased by 10 mm and boot space too sees a hike by 16-litres. The interior sketch reveals that the new Verna will have a driver-centric cabin. Interior quality is expected to be top-notch and leather upholstery will make their way into the higher variants.
No changes on the engines front, the next generation Hyundai Verna will continue to be powered by the same 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre engine options in both petrol as well as diesel. Power and torque might see a slight alteration. However, both the petrol and diesel engines will come paired to manual as well as automatic transmission options.
The next generation Hyundai Verna when launched will compete against the Honda City and the popular Maruti Ciaz.
