Completely revealing images for the 2017 Hyundai Verna have just surfaced online. The images are completely devoid of camouflaged and reveal a lot of the styling details and overall design of the car.
After its showcase at the Beijing motor show in April, undisguised photos of the 2017 Hyundai Verna have surfaced on the internet. The car is seen in production ready form, and the photos reveal quite a few details regarding the design and a few extra offerings as well.
We can also make out the variants that the car will be available in, and the key features that will separate them. The base model will come with conventional halogen headlights, steel rims and no fog lamps. Meanwhile, the top variant gets projector lights, LED DRLs, fog lamps, some chrome treatment on the door handles, and front grille, and all-new alloy wheels with two separate options. On the interior, the top variant will get 6 airbags, automatic climate control, a touch screen infotainment system, and leather upholstery. The car also gets a longer wheelbase of 2600 metres which will free up more space in the cabin.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna will be offered with 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines, and diesel units of the same capacities. The petrol powerhouses will produce 100 HP and 123 HP of power respectively, while figures for the oil burners are unavailable. Both engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The car is expected to hit Indian markets by early 2017, and will rival the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and the Fiat Linea. While no update regarding the price is seen, the Verna is expected to demand a premium over its rivals.
