2017 Hyundai Creta Facelift Showcased In China

Hyundai has unveiled the Creta (ix25) facelift at the Chengdu Motor Show in China.

In China, the 2017 Hyundai Creta (ix25) is offered in four configurations

Hyundai has showcased the Creta facelift (sold as ix25) at the Chengdu Motor Show in China. The facelifted Creta gets subtle styling tweaks to the exterior as well as interior. The exterior is characterised by the signature hexagonal 3-slat chrome grille, tweaked front bumper which houses the horizontal fog lamps and LED DRLs. At the sides, there are new twin 5-spoke smoked alloy wheels and at the rear, the SUV gets new 3-element LED tail-lights and a new twin exhaust pipe similar to the Tucson.

The overall dashboard layout of the car remains identical to the previous car. However, the cabin of the facelifted Creta gets body coloured highlights around the AC vents and contrast red stitching in the gear knob and seats. The parking lights switch above the infotainment system replaces the digital clock.

The facelifted Creta draws power from a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine which produces 138 HP of power and 242 Nm of torque and a 1.6-litre petrol engine which is good for 123 HP of power and 151 Nm of torque. While the 1.6-litre petrol engine is available either with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, the 1.4-litre turbo petrol is available only with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Meanwhile, in India, the Creta is powered by 1.4-litre & 1.6-litre diesel engines and also a 1.6-litre petrol engine.

Available in 4 configurations, price for the facelifted Creta (ix25) ranges from CNY 1,09,800 – 1,52,800 (approximately Rs. 10.5 lakhs – Rs. 14.72 lakhs) in China.
