Honda has launched the 2017 CBR650F in India at a price of Rs. 7.3 lakhs.
Unveiled at the EICMA 2016 with a considerable amount of improvements, the 2017 Honda CBR650F has made its way to India. Interestingly, price for the new model, at Rs. 7.3 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), is the same as the erstwhile CBR650F. Updates are more than skin-deep and consist of mechanical changes as well.
The 2017 CBR650F gets an LED headlight unit wrapped in a sharper fairing. A side-mounted exhaust with dual-pass internal structure reduces back pressure to make the inline-4 engine more audible. The instrument cluster and switchgear remain the same.
The middle-weight sports tourer has been suspended on 41 mm Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBV) forks at the front and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. Revised braking components include Nissin two-piston front calipers with 320 mm petal discs, while a single 240 mm petal disc does duty at the rear.
The liquid-cooled, four-cylinder, 649cc engine continues to propel the new motorcycle, producing 85.42 BHP of power and 60.5 Nm of torque. It comes paired to a 6-speed transmission with revised gear ratios and utilises a new intake and exhaust system for better performance. The bike competes head-on with the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 650.
