Honda has launched its flagship supersport offering, the CBR1000RR, priced from Rs. 17.61 lakhs.
Honda has started taking bookings for the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade series. For bookings, Honda’s exclusive Wing World outlets in Mumbai and Delhi can be contacted. The Fireblade was first introduced in India in the year 2009. The new Fireblade takes the game several notches above with all that it has to offer.
The new Fireblade, as Honda says, is the most powerful, fastest and lightest Fireblade ever made. It was first unveiled in Milan, Italy at the EICMA. Talking about the bike, the Fireblade comes with a 999cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine that breathes out 189 HP of power and 114 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Fireblade comes with a host of electronic features. To start with, there is a 10.72 HP top end power boost that improves the bike’s power-to-weight ratio. The Fireblade gets a new gyroscopic ABS system, throttle by wire aka ride-by-wire system, 9-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Selectable Engine Brake (SEB), Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD). All of these can be controlled via the Riding Mode Select System (RMSS). The Fireblade is the first Honda product to use a semi-active Ohlins Electronic Control (S-EC) suspension at front as well as the rear.
Prices for the CBR1000RR Fireblade start at Rs. 17.61 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and it goes up against the Suzuki GSX-R1000 and the Kawasaki ZX-10R.
