The 2017 Chevrolet Beat is almost ready to be launched in India.
Chevrolet has been testing the facelift version of the Beat in India for quite some time now. Recently the car was spotted testing completely undisguised for the first time. The car which was spotted was in orange colour which previously wasn’t available in the earlier model. The front grille gets more chrome highlights which make the car look nice. The headlamps of the car have been tweaked a bit and look sharper now.
The side profile of the car looks completely the same as compared to the current outgoing model. The car still doesn’t seem to get mirror mounted side indicators. The alloy wheels also look the same as the current model. Now coming to the rear of the car, the bumper and tail lamps have been redesigned.
The interiors of the car have been given a small update too. Top variants will get a touchscreen infotainment system which will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. However, the interior images that you see here seem to be of the base variant since the audio system is missing. MotorBeam reader Sujit Sutar spotted the car near Pune.
The engines will be carried over from the previous model. The engine options that come with the car are the 1.0-litre diesel engine which comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and the 1.2-litre petrol engine which also comes matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The updated Beat will be launched in the coming couple of months, and it will rival the Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Celerio.
