Chevrolet Beat Activ has been spied testing on Indian roads for the second time. It is a crossover version of the ongoing Beat. Chevrolet has seen unfortunate gradual sales drop of the Beat since it was launched. In 2016 Auto Expo, the company unveiled the Activ version of the Beat which gave rise to the anticipation within many Beat lovers to see it in the Indian markets. Hopefully, the new hatchback is getting ready to get down on the dealerships soon.
Earlier, we had posted the spy shots of the Beat Activ which was found testing on the Bengaluru Highway. Now, it has been sighted on the Pune-Mumbai Express Highway with a sheet of camouflage covering the entire body. The overall design seems to follow the same pattern of the Beat with the rendering of the headlamps, tail lamps, and many other cosmetic updates to justify the new crossover look. DRL’s and Projector Headlamps are the obvious additions to be received by the Beat Activ for matching the modern trend. At the rear end, it seems to get a fresh assembly of a diffuser.
On the inside, the crossover version of Beat is expected to get a numerous equipment to make it more interesting and a tough competitor in its segment. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a 7-inch infotainment system are the elements to cater the new dashboard of the crossover. It also gets a new set of instrument cluster.
It will rival against the likes of Volkswagen Cross Polo, Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Avventura. As per the launch, the Beat Activ could probably hit the showrooms in 2017 if the testing proves the car to be market ready.
