Mahindra Bolero Power+ launched with shorter length, new features and mHawk D70 engine with attractive pricing on offer.
Mahindra Bolero Power+ has been launched with prices starting from Rs. 6.86 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This version of the Bolero gets a shorter length of 3995 mm to get excise duty benefits. The updates on the exteriors include new body graphics along with a revised grille having honeycomb pattern. Rest of the styling and design details remain unchanged.
On the inside, the Mahindra Bolero Power+ comes with revised seating layout, having two jump seats at the back. The dashboard now comes with new audio system offering Bluetooth connectivity. There is a driver information display for showing fuel economy, distance to empty, etc. The new variant also comes with voice messaging feature that gives voice alerts for wearing seatbelts, low fuel, door open warning, etc.
Mahindra has introduced a new mHawk D70 diesel engine that produces 70 BHP at 3600 RPM and 195 Nm at 1400-2200 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Bolero Power+ returns an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 16.5 km/l. The Power+ also comes with Mahindra’s Micro Hybrid technology, which is basically engine start/stop technology to save fuel while the engine is idling.
Some of the other features on the new Mahindra Bolero Power+ include keyless entry, rear wash and wiper, power windows, digital display and more. Mahindra is offering 3 years/1 lakh kms warranty with the new Bolero. While the new version is sub 4-metre, it won’t compete directly with the Ford EcoSport or Maruti Vitara Brezza since the Power+ is targeted at Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
