201 Jaguar XF launched in India and it is available in Pure, Prestige and Portfolio trims. The sedan is available with both petrol and diesel engines.
Jaguar has finally launched the 2016 XF in India and the luxury sedan comes at a starting price of Rs. 49.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The XF is in its second generation now and is available with both petrol and diesel engines, in a total of 5 trims.
Styling has evolved from the previous XF and the new model boasts small but significant changes. The design looks quite edgier now. The car comes with as much as 70% aluminium in its construction and it is said to be 190 kgs lighter and 30% stiffer than the outgoing model. The wheelbase is also 51 mm longer than before.
On the inside, the 14-way adjustable electric front seats, perforated leather seats, memory function for the driver’s seat, Bi-Xenon headlamps and a lot more features. The Pure trim comes with 8-inch touchscreen and 17-inch alloys while the Portfolio trim comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen with InControl Touch Pro and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Jaguar XF comes with the new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine that produces 177 HP of power and 430 Nm of torque, going from 0-100 km/hr in 8.1 seconds.. The oil-burner is available on all the 3 trims. Apart from that, the sedan also gets a 2.0-litre petrol engine belting out 237 HP of power and 340 Nm of torque. The petrol engine accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 7 seconds. The engines are mated to an 8-speed gearbox and the XF is a rear-wheel-drive sedan.
The 2016 Jaguar XF comes with Jaguar Drive Control which lets you choose between Standard, Eco, Dynamic and Rain/Ice/Snow modes. The Jaguar XF competes with the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and the upcoming Volvo S90.
