The Honda Goldwing is a two-wheeler with all the features of a car like an audio system with iPod connectivity and surround sound, radio, navigation system, airbags, etc.
Honda had a host of interesting cars at its stall at the 2016 Auto Expo but they were accompanied by a bike standing strong with almost all the features offered in the cars around, we are talking about the luxury-touring 2016 Honda Goldwing that can easily be compared to cars with a design that is claimed to provide an equally comfortable and luxurious ride.
The 2016 Honda Goldwing is powered by a 1832cc, liquid-cooled, six-cylinder, horizontally opposed engine with two valves per cylinder and programmed fuel injection that produces 118 HP at 5500 RPM and 167 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM while mated on a 5-speed transmission with overdrive and electric reverse.
The braking force is developed by 296 mm dual floating discs upfront and ventilated 316 mm disc at the rear while both of them are equipped with CBS three-callipers. It has a kerb weight of 423 kgs with a fuel tank capacity of 25-litres and a wheelbase of 1689 mm while the ride height is 739 mm.
The 2016 Honda Goldwing is equipped with a very upmarket suspension system that consists of 45 mm forks with anti-dive system and 122 mm travel in the front and a single-sided swingarm with computer controlled single-absorber with two memory presets at the rear. The cruiser rides on 130/70/R18 tyre at the front and 180/60/R16 tyre at the rear.
Though the numbers seem pretty impressive, the main attraction in the 2016 Honda Goldwing is the luxury that it offers with car-like features such as the audio system with iPod connectivity and surround sound, wind protector, lots of storage space, adjustable windscreen, tyre air pressure monitor, heated seats and grips, navigation system, airbag and satellite radio.
