New Bajaj Avenger Starts Reaching Dealerships Before Launch

Bajaj has started dispatching the new Avenger to dealers across India prior to the launch which is scheduled for 27th October.

The design of the new Avenger remains more or less similar to the old model

Bajaj Auto will be unveiling the new Avengers early next week. Till now, the company has been selling only one variant of the cruiser motorcycle in India. But this time, they will introduce three variants to appeal to different audiences. Two of the models will be powered by a 220cc engine while the third will be powered by a smaller 150cc engine and this will reduce the entry price, attracting more customers towards the showrooms.

With few days left for the launch, Bajaj has started sending the bikes to dealerships across India in order to cater to the initial bookings and to not keep the customers waiting. While the Avenger 220 has been spotted in both the Cruise and Street avatar earlier, the Avenger 150 is nowhere to be seen till now. Neither has it been spotted testing nor has it been seen at a dealership. This makes us think that Bajaj is trying to hide this development from everyone to surprise at the launch day.

Spotted at a dealership recently, the Avenger Cruise 220 can be seen in its chrome-full avatar with the engine crash guard and saree guard fitted. Both the 220cc variants are redesigned versions of the current Avenger and get minimal changes. While the looks have been enhanced due to the subtle tweaks, the technical specifications are likely to remain the same. While the Cruise variant will attract the bling lovers, the Street variant is targeted towards the ones who prefer understated looks.

The Avenger Cruise 220 gets a new paint design with the tank getting a patch of different paint and chrome fittings adorning it. The graphics on the bike are new as well. On the other hand, the Street 220 sheds off all the chrome for an all-black finish with distinctive graphics. The Avenger 150 will draw inspiration from the facelifted models but whether it will get the Cruise theme or the Street theme remains a secret until the 27th of October.

Mechanically, the new bike will be similar to the old one
