Audi has showcased the absolutely gorgeous 2016 R8 at the Auto Expo. The vehicle draws power from a massive 5.2-litre V10 engine.
The Audi R8 needs no introduction at all. We all know of it as a very popular sports car that is a bit more practical than the other ones out there. The first generation of the R8 was mind blowingly beautiful and it sold in good numbers in the Indian market too. The German automaker has now displayed the 2016 R8 here at the Auto Expo and it has left everyone awestruck by its beauty. The older model was clean and curvy while the new one is more stylish and has sharp styling elements.
Just like the exteriors, the interiors also have a lot more new bits incorporated and the stylish is again very sharp now. The dashboard gets a sporty layout and the centre console gets a change in design along with the new gear selector knob. The AC vents also have a very distinct design now. The multi-function steering wheel is again all-new and comes with a ton of buttons on it. Keeping all these changes aside, the most stand-out feature of the 2016 R8 are the Matrix LED lights which look excellent.
Unleashing the 2016 Audi R8 is a 5.2-litre V10 engine that belts out 532 HP of power and 539.3 Nm of torque. The engine gets a cylinder-on demand system and is mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox. The R8 also gets an automatic start-stop function which aims to increase fuel economy by 10%. Audi will be launching the new R8 in India this year itself and it will be priced at approximately Rs. 2.5 crores.
