BMW has commenced importing the next generation 2015 MINI range in the country that is scheduled for launch on 19th November later this year. Replacing the current lineup completely, the third generation MINI was unveiled just recently and comes to India via the CBU route. A niche segment, the iconic hatchback will be offering oodles of style, a hefty brand value, improved ride quality and certainly some spirited performance all of which will be coming from the newly developed three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.
A first in the history of MINI, the 2015 models will come with 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol and diesel engines that have been tuned to offer performance without having to compromise on fuel economy and carbon emissions. With the more practical 5-door model also set to come, the new MINI is expected to get even more popular in the segment. BMW has commenced promotional activities for the new MINI, while the prices will start from around Rs. 28 lakhs for the base 3-door version, going up to Rs. 32 lakhs for the 5-door version (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The wide range of customization will continue to be on offer, while John Cooper Works (JCW) accessories will also be introduced later in the timeline.
