Mercedes-Benz is all prepared to reveal the next generation C-Class in the next couple of months. Recently we saw the interior shots and official teaser videos of the new C-Class and now the leaked pictures of the exteriors are doing rounds on the interweb. From the looks of it, the 2015 C-Class draws heavy inspiration from its big daddy, the new S-Class. The new Mercedes design language is evident on the flamboyant front fascia, where it gets a huge set of lamps having new E-Class derived detailing, a wider grille panel that comes straight from the S-Class and the AMG styled front bumper with big air dams.
The 2015 Mercedes C-Class also gives some hint of the smaller CLA sedan on the side profile. The rear detailing is yet to be seen but you can expect it to be as snazzy as the rest of the body. Overall, the difference between the styling of the existing C-Class and the upcoming one is literally poles apart. You won’t be able to pick any similarities between the two, apart from the nameplate. The interiors also gets feature loaded with the latest gadgetry and new styling. The interiors look familiar, as Mercedes has used similar styling on their updated lineup but there are some premium touches and sporty elements to distinguish the new C-Class.
The body-shell of the upcoming Mercedes C-Class will be significantly lighter than its predecessor for better dynamics and stronger performance. It will be made up of aluminium and high-strength steel. The new C-Class is based on the latest MRA (Mercedes Rearwheel Architecture), which has increased dimensions, leading to improved cabin space. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options but the exact tech specs and engine options are yet to be revealed. The new C-Class will sit above the CLA, competing with the likes of the Audi A4 and BMW 3-Series.
