The 2015 Maruti DZire facelift gets chrome treatment to the front fascia and will be offered with the new French Eclair shade added to the palette.
Maruti Suzuki’s second best selling product, the Swift DZire is due for a facelift in the coming weeks and the updated model was recently caught testing completely undisguised within the factory premises revealing all the changes on the compact sedan. With the launch date expected on 23rd February, most significant updates on the 2015 DZire include loads of chrome on the exteriors for a premium appeal along with the new French Eclair brown shade added to the colour palette.
The front fascia is far more distinctive on the 2015 Maruti DZire with a single-slat chrome grille, revised bumper with wider air intakes and chrome inserts on the fog lamp enclosure. Changes to the side profile are minimal, save for the new 15-inch alloy wheels; whereas the rear receives a mildly redesigned bumper which now misses a fog light. While the exterior changes aren’t as extensive as one would hope, the interior will get updated with a host of new features carried over from the Swift facelift.
Updates inside the cabin include new fabric seats, Bluetooth connectivity with steering mounted controls, start-stop button, keyless entry, 60:40 split rear seats and electrically foldable ORVMs with turn indicators. With the top-end ZXi and ZDi variants getting ABS and airbags as standard, ABS could now be offered on the VDi trim only, as seen on the new Swift. The engines are also expected to get more fuel efficient with the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol motor witnessing a marginal drop in power while the 1.3-litre diesel will continue in the existing state of tune.
