The Mahindra TUV300 is all set to be launched on 10th September. The baby SUV from the automaker seems very promising. The vehicle’s pictures were first leaked few days back when it was caught completely uncovered. Now, some more pictures of the same have been found and this time we see that a commercial advertisement shoot of the vehicle is going on. The commercial was being shot at Vasai which is just on the outskirts of Mumbai, with actor Prabhas of Bahubali fame. Mahindra had four vehicles for the shoot but only one was uncovered.

The TUV300 has a very boxy design and it does remind us of the Quanto from certain angles. Mahindra had said that the SUV will resemble a battleship but that doesn’t really seem to be the case but it might grow on you over time. Bookings for the TUV300 have already begun at an amount of Rs. 20,000/-. The vehicle will be offered in three trims – T4, T6 and T8. Power windows, power steering and AC will be standard across all trims. The T4 variant will be offered in three shades – silver, black and red. This trim will also get optional ABS and airbags. The T6 variant will come with the stuff from the T4 along with body-coloured bumpers, door handles and ORVMs. This variant will also get an optional AMT gearbox.

The range-topping T8 variant will come with alloy wheels, standard airbags and ABS, optional AMT gearbox and six colour options – silver, red, black, white, blue and orange. The TUV300 will come powered by a mHawk80 1.5-litre diesel engine that seems to be a tweaked version of the Quanto’s engine. The oil-burner produces 100 BHP of power and 240 Nm of torque. The vehicle will get a manual gearbox and an AMT. Mahindra will be positioning the TUV300 above the Quanto and hence we expect it to be priced from Rs. 7 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
