The third instalment of India Bike Week has been announced. The 2015 India Bike week will be held on 20-21 February and tickets are priced at Rs. 3000/-
The holy pilgrimage for bikers all over India is back in its third year. Yes! The dates for the 2015 India Bike Week (IBW) are out and festival will be held on 20th and 21st of February, 2015 in Goa. The event that witnesses bikes and bikers of all age and sizes come from all over the country has grown into one of the most awaited biking events to be held in the country. The 2015 IBW will be held at Vagator, Goa and tickets will be available from 7th October onwards at a price of Rs. 3000/- with a special 5 hour only early bird scheme of ‘buy one and get 50 percent off on the second one’.
What to expect at the 2015 India Bike Week?
The Travel Zone – Head onto the Travel Zone for some interesting stories from legendary motorcycle travellers. There are also photo and video exhibits along with the chance to camp with the guys from Motorcycle Travellers Meet. The zone also integrates the Adventure Movie Festival, an adventure travel gear expo, the Ladakh Tent, a Map of Fame, the Bikers Grant and much more.
Bike Builder Collective – The IBW Build Off will be back in its third year to bring forward the best home-grown bike builders. Also on display will be custom bikes, vintage and classic bike Concours and the new War Class display.
Ace Cafe London – Rocker Mark Wilsmore, from Ace Cafe London will be at the 2015 IBW and will be leading a Cafe Racer parade through the festival, along with judging competitions. He will also put up illustrious history from Ace Cafe London on display starting from the opening in 1938 through to today.
IBW Arena – Catch Music Bands, the racers, bikini bike wash, stunts, demos and several other activities at the arena.
Drag Racing – IBW will be introducing drag racing this year at an offsite location close to the festival.
Dirt Track Challenge – The dirt track challenge will allow bikers to put their skills to test at the trials on a Moto X bike.
Urban Street Challenge – An alternate scene being introduced this year, the challenge will see BMX stunts, super trials, Bboying, skateboarding, battling and rapping.
Started in 2013, the India Bike Week attracted over 6500 people in its first year, while the second year saw the crowd grow larger to over 7500 people in attendance with 4000 riding down to the event from all over the country. The 2014 event also saw the Y2K super bike, a stunt championship, a Vintage Bike Concours, FMX, Bike Build Off as well as biking veterans and Grand Prix riders at the event. IBW is all about meeting fellow bikers, legends and learning from their stories and gaining from their experiences.
