The 2015 Passion Pro has been updated with mildly revised body panels for a fresh look on the commuter while there are also two new colour options now on offer.
Having updated its website with all the details last month, Hero MotoCorp has now officially launched the 2015 Passion Pro in the country, priced at Rs. 49,250/- (ex-showroom, Chennai). The automaker’s second most selling model and the country’s third most selling motorcycle, the 2015 Passion Pro gets quite a few upgrades to its credit including a new front mudguard, visor, clear indicators, new black cladding at the side panels and a black finished exhaust cover. The motorcycle further gets a new flush type cap for added convenience on the 13.5-litre fuel tank, 6-spoke alloy wheels and new body graphics while there is also a new LED-like tail light on offer.
Mechanically, the 2015 Hero Passion Pro continues with the tried and tested 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine under the belly which was recently updated and is now tuned to produce 8.36 PS of power at 8000 RPM and 8.05 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM, paired to the same 4-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are performed by the telescopic forks and hydraulic shocks at the front and rear respectively. The bike also benefits from electric start and digital-analog instrument cluster with a front and side cowl for improved visibility. In terms of braking performance, the bike comes with 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear as standard, while there is an optional 240 mm front disc brake variant available as well.
Apart from the host of changes, Hero has updated the 2015 Passion Pro with two new colours namely – Matte brown and Majestic white, in addition to the six colours available including Black Sports Red, Black Heavy Grey, Black Frost Blue, Sports Red, Force Silver, Bronze yellow. An extremely strong player in the commuter space, the timely update from the Indian auto giant will certainly help the motorcycle retain its dominance.
