The updated Hero HF Dawn seen in the spy shots gets black coloured chain cover, leg guard and rear shocks. Launch is expected by mid-2015.
Expanding its global base at present, Hero MotoCorp continues to concentrate on its bread and butter commuter segments and has all-new entry-level motorcycles and scooters planned, while its existing range will receive aesthetic and certain mechanical upgrades throughout the year. Seen in these new spy shots emerged online, the Indian two-wheeler giant’s commuter offering, the HF Dawn was spotted testing with partial camouflage along with the company’s new Dash 111cc scooter.
Visually tweaked for 2015, the new Hero HF Dawn spied carried an all-black chain cover, leg guard and rear shocks as opposed to the chrome finished unit seen on the outgoing model. The single seat seems to get improved cushioning too this time around. We expect no changes in terms of performance from the 97.2cc single-cylinder motor that currently churns out 8.36 PS of power and 8.05 Nm of torque, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. Improvements in terms of fuel efficiency can be expected though.
The new Hero Dash on the other hand has just begun its round of testing and will be launched by mid-2015 in the country. First showcased at an event last year, the Dash scooter is targeted at male buyers and gets a sporty styling with sharp lines. Powering the scooter is a 111cc air-cooled motor that produces 8.44 BHP of power and 9.4 Nm of torque and also comes with telescopic front forks, alloy wheels, 130 mm drum brakes at the front and rear, and will also get Hero’s version of an integrated braking system. A price tag of Rs. 55,000/- (ex-showroom) is expected on the Hero Dash scooter.
