Chevrolet displayed the 2015 Cruze at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year. The American automaker has adopted significant changes on the exteriors of this sedan and now the manufacturer has finally revealed the interiors of the latest Cruze. While the exteriors come with various changes, the interiors too look way better than the outgoing model. Chevrolet claims that the designing of the new interiors has been inspired by the Corvette and Camaro and the new Cruze has been designed by GM’s global design network.
The dashboard of the 2015 Cruze features a dual-cockpit design and Chevrolet engineers have worked hard to extract the most amount of space possible from the interiors. Chevrolet has plonked in a completely new steering wheel which comes mounted with various phone and audio controls. The instrument cluster is also new and it lends a very sporty feel. Interior space has been maximised by moving forward the cowl point, placing all four wheels near the corners and giving a backward-flowing curve to the roof. Chevrolet claims that the 2015 Cruze comes with class leading leg space for rear passengers. The global version of the Cruze also comes with a downsized engine and that has also helped matters while maximising interior space.
The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze comes with saddle-brown premium leather that is used on the dashboard trims, seats and door pads. The steering also comes wrapped in leather. The new Cruze comes with features like an 8-inch multi-touch screen with built-in apps and the Chevrolet MyLink II system which offers great connectivity options to customers such as looking for directions, streaming music via their phones and accessing contacts. The Cruze also gets voice control. While the new Cruze won’t be launched in India any time soon, we can expect Chevrolet to introduce it during the last quarter of 2015 or early 2016.
