World’s largest two-wheeler maker by volumes, Hero MotoCorp has been updating its entire product range ever since the beginning of the year. After bringing the updated Splendor, Xtreme, Maestro and Pleasure models, the company has updated its 125cc segment contender the Glamour and Glamour FI motorcycle with revised styling that have arrived at the dealership and is on sale, available in three variants. Hero MotoCorp will be updating its entire range gradually over a period of time to make sure it retains the top spot in the two-wheeler market.
Updates to the 2014 Hero Glamour include a slightly revised analogue instrument cluster which has a digital speedometer along with a revised visor. The motorcycle also gets a new paint schemes and body graphics to boast off. The Glamour is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.1 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 10.35 Nm of torque at 4000 RPM, mated to a 4-speed transmission. The motorcycle is equipped with telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rectangular swingarm with five-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber at the rear.
The base variant of the 2014 Hero Glamour has been priced at Rs. 63,550/- and comes with drum brakes and self start as standard. The mid-variant with disc brakes and self start has been priced at Rs. 65,750/-. The Glamour FI on the other hand starts at a significant premium than the other variants and has been priced at Rs. 73,750/- (all prices on-road, Mumbai). The Glamour competes against the TVS Phoenix, Suzuki Slingshot and the Honda Shine in the segment.
