2014 Chevrolet Corvette Logo Revealed

At last, the Americans are reacting. They got to know that their last hope of super-cars, the C6 Corvette, still exists, while many webbys are getting the spy pics of the 2014 Chevy Corvette which is being called ‘all-new’ by Ed Welburn (Vice President, Global Design, GM). Whatever the case may be, we will get to know the full story on the day before the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. According to the company’s announcement, the new logo is a stylized set of crossed flags, like the previous Corvette emblem, but updated with elements that reflect the sweeping redesign of the next generation Corvette.

Welburn says that the new logo and implicitly the new C7 Corvette is much more modern, more technical and more detailed than before. Tadge Juechter, Corvette’s chief engineer, explains the premise of the new C7 – “We set out to build a world-challenging sports car with refinement, efficiency and driver engagement that is second to none. The result is a truly all-new Corvette.” Chevy appears to have a micro website dedicated for the countdown in the works, but at the moment, it’s not loading.

Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car from General Motors under the Chevy tag which was first launched in the year 1953 as a concept at the GM Motorama. The car was a convertible and it was named after the small and maneuverable warship called a corvette. Today, Corvette is the official sports car of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Over the years, changes took over the beast and today we have the sixth generation Corvette. The seventh generation model is expected to arrive in 2013 as a 2014 model year vehicle.
