If Yamaha plans to get FZ6R in India, it will face tough competition with Kawasaki’s Ninja 650. The Ninja 650 is priced at Rs. 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and is powered by a 4 stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8-valve, parallel twin engine that comes with 649cc of displacement. The engine develops a maximum power of 71 BHP at 8500 rpm and generates a top torque of 65.68 Nm at 7000 rpm. The new fuel injection and explosion settings on this torquey engine are cautiously selected to improve bottom-end torque, smooth low-mid rpm response and allow it to rev more quickly.
