A mid-cycle facelift for the Nissan Micra is due and it has been spotted uncamouflaged recently in Thailand. The facelifted Micra gets an aggressive styling treatment including a revamped front end with a new grille hinting chrome highlights, revised bumpers with triangular fog lamps housing, refreshed headlamps and new air dam. At the rear, the car gets a new bumper along with a fresh set of tail lamps cluster. The profile of the vehicle remains unchanged.
Interiors of the facelifted Micra are expected to remain the same except for a few minor changes. Coming to the tech specs, the facelifted 2013 Nissan Micra will retain the engine options available currently. It is powered by a 3-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol motor that is capable of producing a peak power of 75 BHP with a peak torque of 104 Nm and a 4-cylinder 1.5-litre diesel motor producing 64 BHP of maximum power output with a peak torque of 160 Nm.
Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is expected that Nissan will also introduce the X-tronic automatic transmission with the updated Micra in order to compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ritz, Hyundai i10 and Honda Brio. The Micra is known for its practical nature, impressive fuel efficiency and good quality. It comes with a starting price of Rs. 4.15 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The launch of the facelifted Micra is just around the corner.
