Forget about driving, just speaking of the Lamborghini Gallardo excites many of the car fans and most of us fantasize to drive this car. If we not wrong, the famous rapper Akon even mentioned about it on his all time hit Smack That. Well enough of it or you will blame us for deviating from the topic, the Italian manufacturer has unveiled its two new models Gallardo LP 560-4 and Gallardo LP 570-4 at the ongoing Paris Motor Show. Well if you are thinking about some major facelift, then you may be disappointed as the new models have some cosmetic changes to offer a refreshed look.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 has got exterior changes in the form of refreshed front end which gets design elements inspired from trapezoidal and triangular shapes inherited from Lamborghini’s design. The front showcases a bold and aggressive look with wider and distinctive air-intakes. The rear also showcases some changes with wider surface area so that a decent improvement in thermodynamic efficiency is achieved and you get a new set of alloy wheels. A new style package will be available to customers which offers gloss black paint on underside of spoilers, front and rear grilles and on transverse element of rear trim to give a more sporty look.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine, which produces 560 PS of power in the LP 560-4 model and 570 PS of power in the LP 570-4 model. This enables a sub 4-second time to reach 100 km/h from standstill, while having a top speed of 325 km/h.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and LP 570-4 Performante gets a new option package of Edizione Tecnica. The new option offers an introduction of new fixed rear wing, carbon ceramic brakes and two paint jobs for better performance. Lamborghini now offers only three unique colors with contrast in roof arches and front air intakes. The available color options are matte white with orange pillars and intakes, orange with matte black pillars and intake and matte black body with orange pillars and intakes. Lamborghini has also introduced ‘Ad Personam’ program which give a wide choices of color options to choose from but comes at an additional cost. The new range will be available for sales from November 2012 at its dealerships. None of the mechanical changes under the hood are reported in any of the models, we anticipate that in the next two-three years a new and more powerful model of this super car will debut.
