Speed meets refinement, technology at its best, sports and luxury, looks and design, any driving enthusiast’s eternal dream. Take the top of 309 km/h. Remember the Bentley 6.0-litre, 48-valve, four cam, twin turbo charged W12 engine? Now Bentley is all set to come up with an upgraded version of the same. Already excited? The new model of the GT Speed will impress with 616 BHP at 6000 RPM. The stupendous 800 Nm of torque should easily display some supercar qualities effortlessly. And the pick up? 0-60 mph in an invisible four seconds. All of this with its unique ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Impressive, but apprehensive about ride quality? The GT Sport is state of the art- no doubt. Its intelligent adaptive control software ensures that gear shifting is at its smoothest.
The car’s splendid performance is all thanks to a one of its kind chassis tune along with an up-rated steering, suspension system and a lowered ride height. Add to this, the 21-inch speed wheels are available in two finishes and are fitted with 275/35/21 Pirelli PZero ultra-high performance tyres. All this to ensure the Bentley satisfaction.
All set to make its international debut at the Goodwood Speed Festival his year (28th June to 1st July), the new Bentley GT Speed makes no compromises. Fitted with the essential Continental standard equipment, the GT Continental Speed ensures great grip and stability wherever and whenever needed. It certainly sounds like the car that is all set to thrill. Rumours say Bentley Boys Juha Kankunnen, Guy Smith and Derek Bell will pilot a pre-production GT Speed up the Goodwood Hill twice a day. We can expect Bentley to bring in the Continental GT Speed Coupe to India early next year, pricing it around Rs. 3 crore.
