Mahindra has refreshed the Scorpio, Verito and Bolero recently. The company also launched the XUV500 recently and now has its attention focused on upgrading the Xylo. The Mahindra Xylo is one of the volume vehicles for Mahindra and has not been upgraded since it was first launched. Now Mahindra has been testing a mini-Xylo for quite some time now and the normal Xylo too is being tested with upgrades. The Mahindra Xylo which was spotted has very heavy camouflage, but slight changes to the headlights are visible. The interior seems to be largely improved with better quality, which is an important step considering the Xylo will soon face tough competition from Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga MPV.
One of the Xylo vehicles spotted looks like a 7-seater (with side facing bench seats), while the other is a 8-seater. However both the 7-seater and 8-seater look drastically different at the rear. One of the spy mules seems to have the spare tyre attached to the rear tail gate. Looks like Mahindra is planning to offer lots of variants on the upcoming Xylo facelift. We don’t expect Mahindra to alter the mechanicals of the MPV by any considerable margin, with minute tweaks expected to slightly bump fuel efficiency of the Xylo.
