BMW has launched the facelift of the X6 in India. The vehicle is available in two variants ā xDrive40d and xDrive50i, priced at Rs. 78.90 lakhs and Rs. 93.40 lakhs respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). The German automaker has also inaugurated its largest dealership in the country, Deutsche Motoren at Faridabad, which can display 30 cars and service 350c cars in a day. The BMW X6 facelift gets minor changes to the exteriors (lights, grille, new 19-inch wheels) along with new color options for the interiors, which feature Nevada leather in a choice of colors.
The xDrive50iās 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 petrol engine produces 407 HP of power and 600 Nm of torque between 1750-4500 RPM. This results in a 0 ā 100 km/hr time of 5.4 seconds while top speed is 240 km/hr. The xDrive40d uses a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine which produces 306 HP of power and 600 Nm of torque between 1500-2500 RPM. The X6 diesel reaches 100 km/hr in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 236 km/hr. Both engines are mated to a new 8-speed automatic gearbox.
BMW offers Innovations package which includes Adaptive Full LED Headlights, BMW Heads-up Display and Luxury Package which consists of special comfort seats with lumbar support, active seat ventilation and seat heating. The X6 is a combination of a coupe and SUV, giving buyers appeal and off-road capabilities in one package. BMW calls the X6 a Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) and both Audi and Mercedes are developing rivals for the X6. The BMW X6 is brought to India via the CBU route. A new metallic Marrakesh Brown is added to the X6 range.
