The new 2012 BMW M5 has been finally revealed in all its glory. The performance sedan is now meaner than ever and features BMW’s V8 twin scroll twin turbo motor, which displaces 4395cc and produces (hold your breath) 560hp of power at 6000 RPM. The earlier E60 M5 produces only 507PS but at an insane 7750 RPM. Weighing in at 1870 kgs, the F10 M5 happens to produce 501 lb-ft of torque at just 1500 RPM. Mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission, the 2012 BMW M5 can reach from a standstill to 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds (0.3 seconds quicker than the E60) and 200 kmph in just 13 seconds. Top speed is restricted to 250 kmph but the M-Drivers pack will remove the limiter, freeing the car to reach a top whack of 305 kmph. Also featuring active M Differential, the F10 M5 has massive 265/35 ZR 20 inch tyres at the front and 295/30/ ZR 20 inch tyres at the rear. We see no reason why BMW India will not launch the new M5 in India. But when is the question.
