LML, the company which sold the Vespa scooters long long ago has now launched a new scooter in Delhi and NCR. The LML Select uses a 4-stroke engine which produces 8.7 bhp of power at 6200 RPM and 11.3Nm of torque at 4250 RPM. The LML Select has a tank capacity of 5.5 liter (1 liter reserve) and is available in both kick and electric start variants. The LML Select is priced at Rs. 47,140/- for the kick start variant and Rs. 50,978/- for the electric start variant (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model will be available to Punjab, Haryana and UP buyers by the end of this month.
LML Head, Sales and Marketing, Mr. P S Choudhary also revealed the company’s plans to launch four more products in the near future. This would include a 110cc commuter segment bike and a 125cc executive segment bike. There will be two gearless scooters featuring the above mentioned engine capacity. Last month, we caught up with LML Executive Director, Mr. Shantimal Singhvi, who told us that the company is going through BIFR (Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction).
