The Hero Xpulse is gaining traction in the market

In September 2021, 200-500cc bike sales dropped by close to 40 percent

Bike sales in the 200-500cc segment in the month of September 2021 showed that Royal Enfield is still in control with 4 models making it into the top 10.

Leading the pack is the new generation Classic 350 which registered sales of 13,751 units, followed by the Meteor 350, which will soon get a big brother in the Super Meteor, with 6184 unit sales.

Then came the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, 4108 units of which were sold this past month, followed by the Pulsar 180 and NS200 duo that fetched 3703 units for Bajaj.

Fifth-placed Royal Enfield Himalayan was very close to the previous models, the adventure bike having sold 3633 times over. Hero’s entry-level adventure bike, the Xpulse 200 did well to find 3375 takers last month.

No matter what the circumstance, the KTM Duke 200 soldiers on

Seventh place in the September 2021 200-500cc bike sales chart was occupied by the CB350 from Honda. The Japanese firm sold close to 3000 units of its Enfield competitor during the said period.

The Bullet 350’s sales plummeted in September, and the model only found 2779 new homes. It was followed by the Jawa range (2390 units) and the KTM Duke 200 (2326 units) which complete the list.

In all, only a few vehicles (Himalayan, Xpulse 200 and Jawa range) posted year-on-year (YoY) sales growth, while the others faltered. Total sales of the bikes in the top 10 list stood at 45,244 units, which is a 39 percent decrease in sales YoY.
