Volkswagen is readying yet another facelift of the Polo. It gets minor changes on the outside and the inside in line with other cars in the lineup.
If there’s one manufacturer which loves updating its cars every now and then, it has got to be Volkswagen. Just last month, they added a couple of features to the Polo and Vento and now, the German carmaker is readying another update for the Polo. The facelifted model will get changes in line with the Vento facelift showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Recently spotted testing in Mumbai, the Volkswagen Polo facelift will get a new tail lamp with LED elements and new headlamps which get DRLs similar to the ones on the Vento showcased at the Auto Expo last month. Apart from these two changes, there isn’t any change which can be noticed on the outside.
On the inside, the Volkswagen Polo facelift might see addition of a few new features. However, chances of that happening are very less considering it has already got all the possible features in the last two updates. The infotainment system was recently upgraded too and the hatchback now sports a touchscreen audio system.
On the mechanical front, the Volkswagen Polo will continue to soldier on with the current engine options with no changes whatsoever but the diesel model could get more output as VW will source a larger turbocharger locally. The addition of all the features has made the German hatchback an excellent package. Even after being one of the oldest cars in its segment, it manages to look very good due to its timeless styling.
